Well another year has come to an end and we look forward to 2018 and all the wonderful events and activities on the South Dallas Cultural Center's season calendar. The Board of DIrectors of Friends of the South Dallas Cultural Center want to extend a very heartfelt THANK YOU to all who contributed to the Completing the Circle Program that allowed 11 worthy students travel to Senegal West Africa over the Thanksgiving Break. They had a fantastic time and will share all that they saw and learned on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 6:30 pm at South Dallas Cultural Center. We hope you can come by to meet the students and hear their stories!
Meanwhile, we wish you a very happy and safe holiday season and a productive and culture-filled New Year! Oh, and if you need someplace to park some expendable income, consider an end of year donation to us!
Friends of the South Dallas Cultural Center is a 501C3 incorporated in 2014. It exists to support the programs and activities of South Dallas Cultural Center, a division of City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs. By becoming a Friend, you will extend the reach of this dynamic center by helping it to provide international travel opportunities for South Dallas kids, visiting artists residencies for its award-winning summer program, participation in national workshops like the Zora Neale Hurston Literary Festival, and many other cultural activities. In addition, your donation allows SDCC to expand its scholarship program for low income children, making it possible for them to attend the Culture Out of School Program that offers music, dance, theater, media arts, literary arts and Capoeira classes. So please join the Friends of the South Dallas Cultural Center today and become a part of the family!
Early to bed or early to rise, thanks to our convenient online donation system, it's never too early (or late!) to make your donation! We welcome all donations small and large and thank you with great appreciation for helping us continue to serve the community!
